Sonogram Results!

Yesterday Mike and I went to my doctor for a sonogram. Everything is looking ok and the baby was quite active! The doctor didn't think she would be able to tell if it was a boy or girl as it's legs were tightly closed on the first pass. But - after the doctor had taken all the needed measurements and checked out all the bones and vital organs - she went back and was pretty sure she got a good look. She is almost sure it's a girl!! My due date is still Nov. 3.

We weren't sure how Nicholas would react as he had told us he wanted a little brother. But when I told him the baby in my tummy is a girl - he got so excited and gave me a huge hug. He is very excited!

We are struggling with what to do for bedroom arrangements as our house is really set up for an older family - the master bedroom is on the main level and the two bedrooms are downstairs. We asked Nicholas for his ideas for where the baby should sleep - and he responded that the baby will cry - so she should sleep outside! :o) We'll have to see how desperate I get for sleep before that topic comes up again!

Hi Tara, Mike and Nicholas:

It was so good to talk to you yesterday Tara. I bet Nicholas is excited about the new baby sister. The idea of putting her outside was cute. He will be a good big brother and he will look after her.

I am so glad Mike's blood clot is gone and he is back to good health. Maybe he will be able to go see his Mother and Dad. I know it would be good for both of them.

Our prayers have been answered for everything going on your lives. Everything is looking up. Take care and it is always good to receive your calls and messages.

Our love to all,

Gammy and Dianne

Praise God on this wonderful news! I'm sure you'll figure out the sleeping arrangements. With a baby monitor it would be fine to have the kids downstairs.

Darrell's and my room is downstairs and the kids are all upstairs. We didn't have a problem when we brought Adam home. Plus, you may want to keep her in your room for the first month or so just to make it easier on you for those middle of the night feedings! Congratulations on your new little girl! My sister is having a girl as well!
