Ahoy Matey!

On Saturday morning we got up early and turned the backyard into a Pirate Cove. We hung a Pirate flag, plenty of pirate balloons and even a 6 foot tall inflatable pirate with a parrot on his shoulder! Nicholas' friends turned up at 2pm and they had a blast playing with foam swords and hunting treasure.

Mike created a map of our yard and put 7 pieces of a puzzle in various hiding places. The kids were broken up into two teams and off they went. The first team found all 7 pieces and were given the missing part of the map. They quickly found the treasure chest behind a "v" shaped aspen tree....but they could not open it. They needed team 2 to find the key!

The second team found the key nailed to an aspen tree and quickly ran to find the first team with the treasure box. They opened it and found their goodie bags. The kids were tickled and had a ton of fun doing the treasure hunt.
