We left on a John Denver song and now we're returning home on one!
We're in London right now and will be leaving in a few hours for Denver. We had a great visit with Mike's parents last night. Mike's Mum is in the hospital for about a week. She's had a bit of a set back and the doctors are trying to get her back on her feet again. Nicholas was quite shy at the hospital. I'm sure it was a bit scary for him.
Then we went to their house and hung out with Mike's Dad. He and Nicholas got on very well. Mick gave Nicholas a toy truck for Christmas and Nicholas loves it! He and Granddad had a great time playing.
We then stopped by Richard and Sharon's house and their two boys stayed up for our visit! All three played and the language barrier did not worry any of them. Good friends can speak any language!
I'll make another post tomorrow from our newest USA citizen!!

Thanks for posting! I was hoping you had a pleasant visit with Mike's folks and am sorry his mother had to back to the hospital. It was wonderful timing in that respect so you were able to visit her there. That has to be good medicine to a mother's heart!
Excited to hear more (and pictures--always pictures LOL) when you arrive home and are able to tell more stories of how Nicholas is settling in and bonding with you. What a wonderful exciting new chapter this will be!

Was sorry to hear Mike's mother is in the hospital. It sounds like he and Mike's Dad had a good time. It won't be long now before you are back in CO and can get settled in with your new son.
We will be thinking of you constantly today and will be waiting to hear more when you have time. You will be busy trying to get caught up on everything.
We are so glad you had a great time in all of your travels to the different cities and these things you will never forget. Your best part of it all is your wonderful son you can enjoy everyday and the love you have for each other forever.

Thanks for the update. We are sorry to hear that Mike's mom is in the hospital. Hope she gets home soon. I am glad that Nicholas had a chance to meet his grandparents. What a treat for everyone!
We're so glad that your journey is almost complete. You all had many exciting adventures - thanks for sharing with us. And the greatest part is that you, Mike and Nicholas found each other!!!!!!!

I know you are all having the Happiest New Year on earth. What an exciting day for Nicholas - a new year, a new country, a new home and a new life. I am just thrilled for all of you and know that Nicholas is indeed a very, VERY lucky little boy. I bet he's going to love the dog too!
