Way to go Nicholas!

Last Saturday morning we got up early and drove down to Golden for Nicholas' Taekwondo test. He did his poomse, chongi, kicks and punches and four directional punch in front of about 25 or 30 black belts. I honestly don't know how he wasn't nervous but he wasn't! He did great and we had to wait until Tuesday to find out if he advanced to Yellow Belt.

Tonight we turned up to class and his teacher started the class on their jumping jacks so we thought maybe he wouldn't get the belt tonight. After they warmed up she called Nicholas to the front of the class and pulled a yellow belt out of her uniform. Nicholas was grinning from ear to ear!! I think he smiled the rest of class - he was so proud!

Monday was Nicholas' first day back to school. We turned up early and the kids lined up with their teachers and all marched into the school.....crossing a red carpet!! The theme this year is Building Your Education and all the teachers had on hard hats and the front of the school was decorated like a construction zone. It was really cute and got the kids excited to learn.

We met Nicholas' teacher last Friday and I think she will be a good fit for him. I don't think she'll put up with his classroom clown antics that he can sometimes get into. And that is a very good thing!

Hi to all:

We had a wonderful visit with Scott and family on Saturday. The girls have grown so much. They look the same as they did the last time we saw them. They were telling us what a wonderful visit they had with all of you. It sounded like Emily, Kristen, and Nicholas had a lot fun.

We enjoyed looking at the album with the pictures of the children together. Nicholas we are proud of you for earining your yellow belt. Keep the good work up.

Our love to all,

Gammy and Dianne
